We are looking for a highly organized, detail-driven Event Operations Manager to manage the planning, coordination, and execution of Mustang Week and future POWER automotive events. This is a hands-on management role responsible for keeping event plans organized, timelines moving, vendors aligned, and critical details executed at a high level.
As Event Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for keeping event logistics on track, managing vendor and venue coordination, overseeing ticketing and registration workflows, supporting merchandise operations, and ensuring POWER delivers a high-quality experience for attendees, sponsors, partners, and the automotive community.
This role is ideal for someone who loves live events, understands the automotive enthusiast world, and takes pride in owning the details, driving follow-through, and making sure complex event plans come together smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Manage event logistics across venues, vendors, contractors, activations, and internal teams to keep planning and execution on track.
- Own event timelines, checklists, schedules, and task trackers to ensure deadlines, details, and deliverables are completed
- Oversee ticketing and registration workflows, including event setup, attendee check-in, credentials, waivers, reporting, and troubleshooting.
- Manage vendor space coordination, sponsor activations, and communication with event partners before and during events.
- Support merch planning and event retail operations, including tasks like logistics, coordination, booth setup, and post-event reconciliation.
- Lead on-site event execution, including setup, live event support, issue resolution, and teardown, while delivering a strong attendee and partner experience.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in event management, event operations, live event production, or a similar role.
- Strong event management and organizational skills with the ability to own timelines, checklists, deadlines, and multiple moving pieces at once.
- Technically savvy and comfortable working in a digital-first environment using tools such as Asana, Slack, Google Docs, Google Sheets, AI tools, and other project management or collaboration platforms.
- Clear and proactive communicator who can follow up with vendors, contractors, partners, and internal team members.
- Comfortable working hands-on during live events, including setup, operations, troubleshooting, and teardown.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure, adapt quickly, and solve problems in a fast-paced event environment.
- Proven ability to take ownership of projects, drive follow-through, and keep teams, vendors, and partners aligned.
- Travel and extended hours will be required during event weeks, and may increase as POWER’s event portfolio grows.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in automotive, motorsports, enthusiast events, car shows, festivals, trade shows, or live brand activations.
- Familiarity with the automotive aftermarket, automotive performance industry, or broader car culture.
- Experience with ticketing, registration, credentialing, waivers, attendee check-in, or event management platforms.
- Experience supporting merch programs, including product ordering, inventory tracking, event retail, booth operations, or post-event reconciliation.
- Background coordinating with sponsors, vendors, exhibitors, influencers, car clubs, racers, or community partners.
- Experience supporting event marketing, social media coordination, promotional campaigns, content needs, or sponsor-related deliverables.
Job Details:
- This is a full-time position either based in Temecula, California, or flexible hybrid or remote opportunities for high-performing candidates.
- We determine compensation by looking at market benchmarks and taking into role, background, skills, and experience to place event managers within a fair market range.
Compensation: $60,000 – $80,000 annually
- Actual compensation will vary based on experience and skill level.
