We are seeking an experienced Lead Performance Mechanic/Technician with a strong background in drag racing or motorsports to join our company in Temecula/Murrieta, California. This role is ideal for a highly skilled professional who is ready to work on complex, high-performance vehicle projects in a focused and collaborative environment.
About the Role
This position involves building, upgrading, and maintaining performance vehicles used for development, testing, and media projects. You will play a key role in ensuring that each build is executed to the highest standard of quality and precision.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing performance installations and upgrades, including engines, power adders, exhaust systems, and suspension components
- Preparing vehicles for dyno sessions and motorsports events
- Providing occasional trackside support (4-6 weekends a year)
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work environment
Required Skills & Experience
- 6–9 years of professional experience in:
- High-performance automotive installations and modifications
- Drag racing or competitive motorsports vehicle preparation
- Aftermarket performance parts and systems
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
- Solid understanding of motorsports safety standards and best practices
Preferred Skills (Not Required but Valued)
- Chassis and suspension setup (alignment, scaling, ride height)
- Dyno operation
- Electrical and ECU troubleshooting
- Basic fabrication and welding (TIG/MIG)
- Race prep and teardown experience
