What is Mustang Week?
First a little history, Mustang Week began in 2002 as a Mustang and SVT family event with a small cruise-in with about 150 cars at the Hard Rock Café at Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach, SC. The event has grown substantially over the past 21 years from a two-day event to a week of Mustang-filled activities including circle track fun runs, autocross, drag racing, a car show, and featuring the Southeast’s most significant Mustang and SVT cruise-in. Mustang Week has seen tremendous growth each year. In 2018, the event saw record attendance again over the 5 days with over 2,500 Mustangs and SVT vehicles and over 10,000 people in attendance. In 2019, due to challenges with Hurricane Dorian, and Covid-19 the MW Staff canceled all official Mustang Week events in 2020. In 2021, a tough decision was made and the last Mustang Week was planned for July 2022.
Power Automedia jumped on the opportunity to revive Mustang Week in 2023. With the power of Ford Muscle Magazine, we are confident it will help to grow the event and make sponsorship participation reach even further than ever before. A new era began and Mustang Week lives on!
